St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) not only helps depression – it can also reduce fatigue. In a study, 20 depressed patients were given Saint John’s Wort extract three times daily for six weeks. The subjects reported less fatigue after two weeks. The results were even more enhanced after six weeks of use. A double-blinded, placebo controlled study of St. John’s Wort conducted by Lindora Medical Clinic, we also observed improvement in energy though not statistically different from those losing weight and not taking the herb.
