So you blew it. Either through oversight or choice, you ate too much or exercised too little. You’re not feeling or looking as good as you normally do. The number on the scale is bigger than the last time you weighed yourself. Now what?
Welcome to the real world. If you’re honest and you’re human, you’re going to blow it sometimes. We all do. The notion that it’s possible to walk a straight line from here to there is a fantasy. The question isn’t whether or not you’ll occasionally stray off course, but rather what you’ll do when you do stray.
You can choose to feel bad about it if you want to. If you find yourself feeling guilty, you may be overdoing it. And if you find yourself demoralized as a result, then your reaction to the slip is more harmful than the slip itself.
